Hmmm... Got stowage?
One day closer, time is really crunching now. But, as you can see, the bags are all mounted up, which checks one more item off the pesky ole to-do list. Rhonda still thinks it looks like I strapped a few ice chests to my bike, but I'm sorta digging the industrial look. I also like that the shape allows for much easier storage. The rounded off style of more traditional bags (I know this from experience) may be easier on the eyes, but tend to cost in cargo space. Plus, the flat tops allow for more area to strap down things like my tent and sleeping bag.
Also, I want to call attention to our newest sponsor for the Tour, Black Hills Powersports of Rapid City, SD. Todd and the crew over there know their stuff and are great to work with. If you are in the area, maybe going to Sturgis (26 miles up the road and ramping up as we speak), or if you live in the Black Hills area and need something, give them a call at 605-342-5500. I can personally tell you they are fair and honest, have a great selection and take care of you the right way.
I'm still working on the schedule and route. This is proving a little challenging and I expected that. Everyone has schedules of their own (Go figure--you mean the earth doesn't actually revolve around me and my schedule?) but it is coming together. Still hoping to have it up yet this week.

Boy, that mode of travel sure looks like a real comfy way to spend WEEKS on the road -- but all the more power to you for stepping up like this to work for our sport, sacrifice your family time, and get 'er done! Hats off.
Room for your stuff?

Once you load all the BlueRibbon Coalition literature and free stuff you are giving away along the way, were you going to put your clothes and stuff? Nice ride and thanks for taking on this task.
